Hawley Wharf is a canal-side development built on the former Camden Lock Village site including retail units and a food market.
The project has revitalised the site’s 30 railway arches which sit alongside new buildings influenced by Camden’s existing historic warehouses.
The scheme features 150 retail spaces and the largest farmer’s market in North London, plus more than 60 food and beverage spaces and entertainment space.
Due to the nature of the units close coordination was required by BJD to ensure metalwork, joinery, architecture, services and kitchen equipment integrated seamlessly.
BJD were initially appointed by the contractor to deliver the space on a D&B cotract. As is often the case for us, due to the quality of work and the relationships BJD has built throughout the project we have since been appointed directly by Labs to aid with the ongoing changes a campus of this size and complexity undergoes.
